Oingo Boingo - Only a Lad
12/29/2006: "Hey, this must be Devo" said my girl friend proudly after listening to the track Capitalism without looking to the cd cover. No, it is not - it is Oingo Boingo. While I must admit that I had the same first impression. I even think I hear the whip from Whip It in Nasty Habits. After giving this record a few more spins I think that I definitely found this Oingo Boingo album to late in my life. But better now than never. Everybody who likes Devo will like at least this album (I can not say anything about the others because I just started to collect Oingo Boingo albums). It was really easy to get for me at some reasonable price.
